Cyprus is regarded as one of the best places to learn to dive offering basic sites along to more advanced and challenging wrecks, caves and tunnels to explore.

There are practically no currents and no surf to fight against on entry making diving in Cyprus ideal for beginners. All the marine life is Mediterranean and there is plenty to see on certain dives amongst natural rock formations and reefs.

Many diving sites in Cyprus are only a few minutes journey by boat also ther is a number of shore dives for beginners. Larnaca is regarded as the offering the best diving in the whole of the Mediterranean and is home to the ship wreck of the Zenobia one of the best dive wrecks in the world.

Any diver who visits Cyprus should make a trip to Larnaca as it offers many hidden treasures and wrecks that are only a short boat jouney to reach and many diving schools offering free transport from and to your apartment.

Other diving locations in Larnaca include: H.M.S Cricket/Ormidhia wreck, Dhekeila Jetty, Chapel Rock and the Sheep dip all aimed at different levels of scuba divers.

More pristine diving can be found in North Cyprus which is at the Northwest tip of the island near the Akamas Peninsula. Many Roman artefacts can be found on the seabed here but all divers must take note that the removal of any of these items are forbidden.

After a day of scuba diving in Cyprus you can treat yourself and try some of the many restaurants which offer food from around the world and is re-known for its low prices and high quality.

Restaurants based in Larnaca are lined along the beach front and offer a wide selection of international cuisines but we recommend you try Cypriot dishes which have elements of British, Turkish and Italian flavors.

If it´s a lively night out in a club you are looking for then Larnaca boasts a great selection of bars and clubs. Most of Larnaca´s nightlife is centered on a two kilometre promenade with every type of music on offer. Many scuba divers in Larnaca make visiting bars the ideal opportunity to meet other divers and exchange the day´s experiences.
